Soccer in the Park

Spring came right on cue, as if Mother Nature just flipped a switch. We had our first weekend of beautiful weather after a cold, stagnant winter. Our friend, Mr. Hong, invited Adam to play soccer at a local school on Saturday. I came along too, not to play, just to enjoy the weather and to get Smudgie out of the house. We took a taxi to a tiny roadside sports equipment store to get Adam some cleats (which cost $18) and the school was walking distance from there. The school is surrounded by a tall wrought iron fence:
So you have to go in through the front gate which is guarded by security guard. He wouldn't let Smudgie come in, so I had to take him home. I didn't mind, because I wasn't there to play anyways. Before leaving, I took some pictures through the fence. The field is made of fake grass. You can see the difference between it and the real grass at the bottom of the second picture.
